Privacy Notice

Who we are

This website belongs to GRK Installations, the trading name of David Hiscock, a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom fitter based in Swindon. We are responsible for the personal details you send us through it. When you send us an enquiry

The contact form asks for your name, email address and message, and optionally your phone number. We use them only to reply to you, to arrange a visit and to give you a quote. We do not send marketing, and we never sell or share your details for anyone else's marketing.

Our legal basis for this is that you have asked us to: we use your details to take the steps you request before you decide whether to have work done.

You do not have to give us your details, but without your name and a way to contact you we cannot reply. We do not make any decisions about you automatically.

Spam protection

To stop automated spam, the contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks information about your browser and connection to tell people from bots. We also allow one message per visitor every 10 minutes. For that we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, never the address itself, and delete it after 10 minutes. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site free of spam.

Visitor statistics and cookies

We count page visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies, does not store your IP address and does not follow you across other websites.

This site does not set cookies. If you use the light and dark switch, your choice is saved in your own browser so the next page matches; it is never sent to us.

Who else handles your details

We use two service providers, who handle your details only on our behalf:

• Cloudflare runs this website, stores enquiries, forwards our email and provides Turnstile and the statistics.
• Google provides our email inbox, where each enquiry is also sent to us.

Both may handle data outside the UK. When they do, they use the safeguards UK data protection law requires. You can read Cloudflare's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy.

How long we keep your details

We delete enquiries 12 months after we receive them. If you go on to have work done, we keep the details we need for the job and its guarantee for as long as they are needed.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, or for a copy you can move to another service. You can also ask us to correct them, delete them or limit how we use them, or object to how we use them. Just contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, please tell us by email at info@grkinstallations.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it, keep you updated and tell you the outcome.
